What my friends in CA are talking about:

Austin is this little blue nugget of goodness in a sea of red. Meaning we are very liberal here compared with the rest of Texas. My friends from CA say that when they get outside of Austin city limits they see Texas. When they are inside Austin it feels more like San Diego to them.
